What is Reggie?

Reggie is a type of weed. It is short for regular. Over the years, Reggie has gotten a bad rap (pun intended) in the rap world. In their world, regular has been associated with low quality. I get it, if you're Wiz Khalifa or Snoop and don't have anything to do all day, then maybe you need something more potent than Reggie, but for the rest of the world, Reggie is probably enough. But this isn't about weed because most of use cannot afford to fail a drug test. So Reggie is more of a metaphor here. "Why not just keep it real?". A popular Dave Chappelle skit shows how keeping it real can go wrong. In my experience, when someone is "keeping it real" they are probably actually being mean or embarrassing themselves. So is keeping it Reggie being fake? Nah, Reggie is just regular. It's not loud...it's regular. Reggie works for the masses and in this society, you gotta work with the masses. So if you're at work and someone says to keep it real, let them know you got bills and work is the last place to keep it real...you're just gonna keep it Reggie.
